SALAR DE UYUNI + MIRADOR THUNUPA
Description
Visit to Colchani (small town where the exploitation and refining of salt is carried out)
Walk through the salt mounds and watching the demonstration of the extraction of blocks of salt, salt eyes and traditional handicrafts.
We visited the "Isla Incahuasi" (known as Isla Lomo Pescado) with huge cacti and a perfect panoramic view of the place.
Later we go to Mirador del Thunupa where you can take unforgettable photographs.
Itinerary
Within hours. 10:30 a.m. approximately we go to the Cemetery of trains, then we headed Uyuni towards Colchani a small town where the exploitation and refining of salt is carried out. We enter to the salar, realizing a walk by the piles of salt and observing the demonstration of the extraction of blocks of salt, the salt eyes and traditional crafts.
We visited Incahuasi Island (better known as Isla Pescado) with huge cacti and a perfect panoramic view of the place. There we will have our lunch. After recharging, we will continue to the Thunupa viewpoint to observe another view of the Salar.
We return to Uyuni at 18:00 p.m
